There is exponential demand for smartphones in a particular, and for web connections in general. In the past challenging conditions have made corporations avoid the continent. However home grown data centers in the Middle East and now in Africa, are growing rapidly as telecom companies and financial institutions are offering more investments there.

The Event
While the event is scheduled to lasts just one day, there are 36 speakers and 22 sessions planned. There are three main halls for the conference, and several of the sessions will be happening at one time, so attendees may have some tough choices.
The day will begin with a discussion of building the infrastructure to expand the market for electronic communication, and the Internet, into Africa. The Middle East, specifically Dubai, will also be discussed as the key player as the point of contact between Africa and the rest of the world.
At the end of the day there will be a panel discussion of the best projects and innovations that are going on in the region. While most of the session will address the issues to be faced, the last session will showcase what has already been done and progress currently being made.
