Here are some of the best budget breaks with the kids in the north-west of England so that you don’t have to break the bank to go on a holiday that you and your family deserve. They are also right here in the UK so you don’t have to travel too far to have a great time.
Blackpool
Blackpool is a great destination where kids can never get bored. Not only is it home to many amusement arcades, the pleasure beach resort, and shops; it is also home to a large beach where the kids can build sand castles, play rounder’s and paddle in the sea. You can find cheap hotels on websites such as UKbreakaways, so that you have more money to spend on doing fun activities with your kids, and of course, it will mean you can give your kids more change to spend on the slot machines.
Liverpool
Another great city for a budget break with the kids is Liverpool. Liverpool is home to many museums including Beatles Story, art galleries, and the Liverpool War Museum which is full of history for your kids to discover and learn about. You can even take a picnic to enjoy in one of the picnic areas to keep costs down. There is a lot of history to be seen in Chester, so hop on the city sightseeing open top bus and enjoy an ‘educational sit down and relax’. Afterwards, you can take a walk down to the River Dee and jump on one of the showboats where you can cruise along the water and enjoy the impressive sights of the City of Chester.
Windermere
If you are looking for something a little more adventurous, where you can enjoy time in the great outdoors, Windermere is the perfect destination to visit with your kids. Not only can you spend time on adventurous activities such as on family cruises on Windermere Quays or on Go Ape adventure activities, there is also less adventurous things to do such as visiting the enchanting world of Beatrix Potter or visiting the motor museum if your little one has a interest in learning about unique road transport (although, that one might be more for the dads).
