Joint Entrance Examination Advanced is a popular examination which is conducted by seven zonal Indian Institutes of Technology under the guidelines of Joint Admission Board. For 2017, this exam will be organized by IIT Madras. It is a national level exam which is conducted for the admission to B.Tech and integrated courses of M.Tech and B.Tech. This exam is organized for both Indian and foreign citizens. It is second stage of Joint Entrance Examination. The candidates can attempt this examination in two attempts. The candidates who have qualified JEE Mains are only eligible to appear for JEE Advanced.
Important Dates-
- JEE Advanced Registration will start from 28th April, 2017
- Registration closes on 2nd May, 2017
- Admit card can be downloaded from 10th May, 2017 to 21st May, 2017
- Paper will be conducted on 21st May, 2017
- Result will be declared on 11th June, 2017
Eligibility Criteria-
- Candidates appearing in the entrance exam have to score a minimum of 75% for general and OBC candidates and 65% marks for the candidates of other categories in class 12th
- Candidates should be among 2,20,000 ranks in the main exam
- Candidates must possess the age on or after 1st October, 1992 and five years of relaxation for the candidates of categories.
- Candidates are eligible to appear for the exam 2 consecutive times in a row.

Registration Fee-
For the centers in India, the candidates have to make the payment of the fee as follows-
- Female Candidates- Rs. 1200
- SC/ST/PwD Candidates- Rs.1200
- All other Candidates- Rs.2400
For the candidates whose center is outside India, the fee to be paid is-
- For the candidates from SAARC Countries, the fee is USD 135
- For the candidates from other countries, the fee is USD 270
Admit Card-
The admit card is a mandatory document to be carried for appearing in the exam. No candidate without admit card will be allowed to appear for the exam. The admit card will release on the official website of the entrance exam on 10th May, 2017.
Exam Pattern-
- The entrance exam comprises of two papers which are Paper 1 and Paper 2
- Candidates have to attempt both the papers
- The duration of both the exams is three hours
- The multiple choice questions and numerical type of question will be asked in the exam
- The language medium of the JEE ADVANCED 2017 exam will be both in English and Hindi
- Both the exams will contain the questions from Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics
